Hey Guys,

I was absolutely blown away by your film and story behind making it. I'm literally at the edge of my seat right now as I write this half-frightened that your film has been in a way the calling many of us having been waiting for. An empowerment that we can no longer wait for "the machine" to heed our warnings and our plees.

There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part, you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus and you've got to make it stop.

Maria Savio's words from 46 years ago sound so pertinent today. Fortunately, we have the global community and the means of collaboration that the civil rights movement never had. We have the ability to unite in a way that the former generation never could in the 60's. Bonds can be formed that defy physical boundaries, that bypass the nation state system and scream to the world that "We Are One!" Governments may be behind on globalization, but the people are not. For once, we are surpassing the government technologically in a way that the people of yesteryear never could.

I heard today of a brilliant new social networking platform being developed in New York called Diaspora. It sounds like the perfect platform for this social network. it's primary focus is on privacy and setting up a system in which we are not forced to surrender our privacy to major corporations. Privacy will be a big factor in this movement as it will quickly become politically charged. Those involved will have to be protected to the fullest extent possible. Diaspora can provide that. I've already emailed them about your film and initiative. Y'all should try and get them involved during the Coalition Movement Camp. They describe their idea more concisely on their youtube page.

Thank you thank you thank you all for this film and this message. I have shared it to more people than I have ever shared a website. I wish you the best of luck and await the moment where I can be of more assistance. Please keep me in mind as I'm in LA where there is a strong following to this movement.

P.P.S. - I would be careful of your use of "War on" anything. We've had a "War on Terrorism" in America for a while and we've seen how that turned around. Mother Teresa was once asked if she would make an appearance at an "Anti-War" rally and she passed, saying that she would gladly attend a "Pro-Peace" rally. It's cheesy to quote her, but this carries an important message.

We are not destroying anything: we, like the artists that many of us are, are creating a new lifestyle.

First of all, sincere apologies for taking months and months to respond to your message in the Coalition of the Willing website forum. The reason I never replied is that we closed the forum a couple of months after the film was released - no one was commenting and it was a little embarrassing. I didn't realize that you could still access the forum via links at the bottom of the essays (these should have been removed). I've only now seen your message, and I'm deeply sorry I didn't see it earlier.

The community that you were hoping to discover when you saw the film is starting to emerge. A bunch of interesting people have been working on various CotW-related projects and tasks for the past 6-8 months, including a 'project matching' system that we hope eventually will form the basis of the Catalyst System described in the film. We've diligently documented our work on http://cotw.cc. If you are still interested in being involved in CotW, check out the links and content here to start.
